SINGLE IMPLANT TO REPLACE A SMALL GAP

An implant is gently placed into the bone to replace the root of a tooth. It is normally left in for a period of time to allow for the bone to heal around the implant. Once this has occurred, we can attach a crown onto the implant to replace your missing tooth.

What to expect when you
COME AND SEE US?

We understand that many patients feel nervous when visiting a dental practice, especially for the first time. That’s why we try our best to make you feel comfortable by spending time listening to understand your needs and concerns.

Our first consultation will be in a non-clinical room and we will have gentle look inside your mouth. We will then advise you on what options may be suitable for you and any relevant details that may be necessary. You will have time to ask as many questions as you want.

We normally advise on having a CT Scan, which is a advanced 3D dental xray as it will show us a very detailed image of your jawbone and the potential sites for implant placement. Once this has been assessed we can give you a detailed plan of action bearing in mind your needs which will be discussed both verbally and in writing. The next stage would consist of gently placing the implant(s) and allowing a period of time for it to fuse to the bone. We then normally wait a period of time (3 months) for healing to take place and then take impressions to fit the final crowns/dentures.
