Our Latest Update

The Denture & Implant Clinic has been seeing patients from the 8th June after telephone assessment and we will continue to expand our services in line with government guidance. Our priority has always been the safety of our patients and staff, and we have been working hard to manage our list of emergency care patients, and we are now starting to tend to patients that are mid-way through care. We are continuing to work to the national guidance, with all the relevant additional safety precautions and social distancing which significantly affects the flow and number of patients seen. Please be patient, and for further information please like and follow us on Facebook bit.ly/TDIC-FB and Instagram bit.ly/TDIC-IG as well as check our website regularly where we will keep you updated along the way. Also, it’s important that we … Continue reading

If you have no teeth left, then plastic dentures are generally the best, however, if you have some remaining teeth, it’s definitely worth considering a metal denture, as they have so many advantages: Clasps If you have remaining teeth present, we can use these teeth to help keep the denture in place, improve stability, and improve support. We can place clasps, which are the metal wires that clip around … Continue reading

Dentures that are made by NHS dentists

Why Are NHS Dentures So Bad?

This article if intended to highlight the differences between private dentures made by us and the typical standard dentures that are made on the NHS. The NHS can be a great system for those who cannot afford private options but it does have its limitations. This needs to be discussed as often patients are not aware of such limitations and options should be discussed thoroughly for proper valid consent. Often patients who have had experience with dentures within the national health service will be disappointed with the result. Dentists must never assume that the patient wants the cheapest option. In … Continue reading
